Mexican Tequila Lunch Pairing at La Hacienda de San Angel
I wasn't reviewing the "La Hacienda Tequila Lunch" event (that was part of this year's Food and Wine Festival) as much as I was just enjoying the event as a guest. Once you start taking photos of your food though, it's hard to put the camera down. We may do a more in-depth review of the event next year, but the food elements of the event were just so good, I wanted to get photos out there. I have also created a page for those that attended the event this year, and wanted to leave a review. Click ... ( read more ... )

Shake and Indulge Like the French
This year's "New" Shake and Indulge Like the French event may sound familiar to you, but is in fact, a bit different than last year's Taste, Shake and Indulge Like the French. For starters, the price has, drum-roll please... wait for it... actually gone down by $10 from last year's similarly named event. While it is a bit different, the drop in price seems quite astounding, because this year's version of the Grand Marnier event seems to be just as packed with Cognac, desserts, and is a bit more fun. This ... ( read more ... )

Mixology Seminar featuring Lucas Bols Presented by Anthony Pullen
Each day during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival a "Mixology Seminar" is held in the Festival Welcome Center at 6pm. The 45 minute demonstration is often curated by a representative of a particular beverage manufacturer and combines information, entertainment, and of course three mixed drinks to sample. If you enjoy mixed cocktails, this event is one of the best "deals" of the festival. The $15 per person ticket is easily justified, as any one of the three 4oz to 7oz samples that you're presented with, ... ( read more ... )

The Epcot 2014 Food and Wine Festival Item Photos and Scoreboard Page
It has taken over 40 hours of shooting, 20 hours of post-production, and close to $400 to eat our way around the World Showcase kiosks this year, all to help unify the look of our International Marketplaces Scoreboard, and bring you the most up to date information available. Click here to visit the current Festival Item Photos and Scoreboard Page I believe that the item photos are extremely important, as they show exactly what is handed to you at each of the kiosks (we did have to replate a few ... A Few New Kiosk Items for the 2014 Food and Wine Festival
Early in July, I had an opportunity to try a few of the items being featured at this year's Food and Wine Festival. It's an event that I usually enjoy, but this time... the event itself felt a little too large, and was missing some of the true foodie-like details of years past. This however, is not a review about the event, but a chance to show a few pictures and talk about a couple of the items that will be appearing at the kiosk this year, around World Showcase. New to the Africa kiosk is a ... ( read more ... )

A New Column for Epcots International Food and Wine Festival
For thousands of eager Disney visitors, the beginning of autumn brings with it the beginning of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. For me though, the annual festival begins in the middle of summer with a Preview Dinner event that has been offered to Tables in Wonderland members for three years running. It provides our first taste of new flavors and information on many of the events that will begin taking place two months from now. As a copywriter of sorts, every piece of information that is released ... ( read more ... )

Tables in Wonderland Discounts No Longer Offered at Dinner in Chefs de France

Dining Update  |
Epcot
  |  by Mealtrip
In a rather quite move, Epcot's Les Chefs de France is no longer offering Tables in Wonderland discounts during the dinner period. It would seem the TIW discounts can still be applied during lunch-menu dining times. Les Chefs de France is the second table service restaurant at Epcot to experiment with being removed from the popular Tables discount program. The Mexican pavilion's La Hacienda de San Angel (the outdoor restaurant, on the lagoon) also no longer honors the TIW discount for dinner. Beginning ... ( read more ... )

House-made English Meat Pies at the Rose Crown
Although this new appetizer addition to the Rose & Crown's Lunch and Dinner is one of the pricier selections, it is not out of line with the other items on the menu. If you're on the fence about it, get one and split it with your dining partner. There's enough there for two people to share, without getting too full for whatever entree you have your eye on. It also happens to be the perfect size for pairing with a half-pint of ale. This new house-made duo of meat pies includes a Pork and Apple ... ( read more ... )
