Once guests saw the rum punch drink, many started asking for one! (The only problem with an open bar is, you have to know what to ask for!)

Closer to the concourse, there is more lounge style seating. There can be quite a lot of foot-traffic out here though. There's not much separation between the lounge and the main walkway to Chef Mickey's.

The "bar" at the Outer Rim is tucked in behind two walls and a window. It's located on the far north end of the actual lounge/seating area.

There are usually a couple different flatbreads on the menu at Contempo Cafe for lunch and dinner. Pictured here is a Smoked Pulled Pork Flatbread with Barbecue Sauce, Jack Cheese, and Vegetable-style Coleslaw.

After the Citricos portion of the Highway in the Sky event, guests were escorted to the nearby Garden View Lounge (also in the Grand Floridian).

The live band can make or break an event like Countdown to Midnight, and this band was spot-on amazing!

So you just walk up to any of the culinary stations, and they will make and plate the item that's on the menu. Each station has a sign, letting guests know which restaurant they are from. Here a Flying Fish chef creates their dish for the night, Rock Shrimp with Tillamook Cheddar Grits in a Martini Glass!

Chef Baker (no, that's not two titles, his name is Baker, but he's a Chef)... brings out the first course... Pan-seared Scallop, Butternut Squash Purée, Roasted Mushrooms, and Truffled Pecan Brown Butter.

There's a couple of large glass windows that separate the lounge area from the main dining room. It's actually a pretty cool looking feature — I'm just not sure what design style this is though. Those are "Fighting Irish" colors.

The main seating area at the Contempo Cafe is actually quite large, and offers great views of the monorails zipping by.

Wow, there were two bartenders for less than 50 guests! That's one of the best ratios I've seen at a Fireworks party!

There really is no "entrance" location for the Outer Rim Lounge. The entire west side of the seating area is open to the main concourse. Here, we're looking north, and the actual bar would be at the far end.

Here's a top-down shot of the Loaded Mac & Cheese that's served at Steakhouse 71. It's actually on the Lounge Menu as a tapas style item, but you should be able to order it as part of lunch or dinner in the main dining room as well.

As the sun sets even further, the lights from the Magic Kingdom begin to light the park.

Just before the fireworks start, everyone is given a glowing plastic flute of sparkling wine (yes, you can keep the glass), and you can head outside to the observation deck, or stay inside and watch from the main dining area.
