Amare (loosely) means "to love" in Italian … it also happens to be restaurant at the Swan Reserve, a hotel that's part of the Swan and Dolphin complex. It features a casual, upscale Mediterranean environment and is open (usually) for three meal period each day. Reservations are recommended for dinner… but walk-ups can usually be accommodated for breakfast and lunch.
The dinner menu highlights ingredients that are commonly found in Mediterranean dishes, like seafood, citrus, olive oils and pasta. There's about a half dozen starter items including a "Mediterranean Dips" board with three dips an grilled pita bread, along with a couple salads. Traditional dinner entrees and some flatbreads round out the savory part of the menu. There's also a decent Mediterranean-based wine list that features several wine flights with selections from across the region
If you want to check the place out and the dinner prices seem a little high, there's a less expensive lunch period at Amare from 11:30am until 2:00pm — with a menu that has more of a "salad, sandwich, and flatbread" theme (and is just as good as dinner), all while being a little less expensive. The breakfast menu at Amare tends to be a little more "American standard breakfast" than Mediterranean.
