The Mexican Tequila Lunch Pairing at La Hacienda de San Angel offers a chance to learn about (and taste) various Tequila products, and the chefs have prepared unique Mexican dishes to compliment each Tequila.

The fun, guided tour through various ages and stages of Tequila follows a learn, taste, and food pairing formula, that keeps things interesting throughout the 90 minute presentation. While some of the Tequilas being poured and the food items change slightly from year to year, the basic components have been the same.

The 2014 event featured a "welcome" margarita, three tequilas paired with a Mayan Ceviche, Sweet Potato Cream Soup, and a Land and Sea plate that combined Octopus seared in an Ajillo pepper sauce and a Pork Belly Carnitas with a tequila gastrique reduction. To finish things off, a Tequila Tres Leches Cake with Avocado Mint Ice Cream was paired with a Ultimo Agave Almond tequila liquor.

While the event does only take place during Epcot's Food and Wine Festival, it is being offered three times per week, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 12:00pm.
