Howl-O-Scream 2025 at SeaWorld, Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando's Howl-O-Scream is back for a 5th year in 2025 – offering 5 haunted houses, 6 scare zones, 2 roaming hordes, a high-energy Victorian-era show (which takes place in the air-conditioned Nautilus Theater), and 5 Interactive Bars that offer themed cocktails and food items. The popular fall event takes place on select nights (mostly Fridays and Saturdays) from September 5th until November 1st, 2025.
Naturally, here at Mealtrip – we're most interested in the Howl-O-Scream (HOS) Lounge Crawl this year – and I'm trying to get a little more information on the food, beverage and location info — I'll post all of that in one of our "tap to highlight" event menu pages – like we usually do for festivals and event.
SeaWorld does a really nice job of adding fresh elements to the HOS event each year, so I wanted to do an overview post of the event. Outlining what's new and what elements are returning – and remind everyone that buying tickets to this one early, is the best way to save. We're about a month away from the start of Howl-O-Scream and there's still a couple of $35 event/ticket nights available. Ticket pricing will go up as we get closer to the start of the event.
The "No Boo" Necklace
Before we get too deep into the new stuff – as far as I know right now – the "No Boo" Necklaces are back this year. The extra-purchase ($15, plus tax) "No Boo" Necklace (Lanyard) is a great way to notify everyone at the event that you would prefer not to be "scared" or chased around as you're walking around the park. They're also super cute and make great souvenirs. For me, getting a "No Boo" Necklace and a Sampler Lanyard – makes doing the HOS Lounge Crawl (visiting all of the themed lounges) and seeing the very cool "Monster Stop" show in the Nautilus Theater a fun, not-so-scarry night out. Just being able to appreciate all of the styling and lighting overlays, the cocktails and food items, and the great looking, steampunk(ish), Victorian-age stage show in the Nautilus – is more than enough Halloween for me!
Coasters at Night
Mako, Infinity Falls (water raft), Pipeline (stand-up surf coaster), and Ice Breaker, will all be open during the event. Riding the coasters at night is a whole new experience than during the day.
Three New Haunted Houses
- The Window's Nest is a Victorian-era orphanage that's fallen into disrepair. Here's SeaWorld's description… "Once a renowned seamstress, The Black Widow now lurks in the ruins of her twisted sanctuary, transformed into something far more sinister. Driven mad by grief and obsession, she spins her creations from silk and bone, stitching together a web of terror that traps all who dare to enter. As shadows slither and whispers echo through the halls, you’ll soon realize—this nest isn’t abandoned. It’s waiting."
- The Rave Yard is an old, long-forgotten cemetery. "Buried deep in the shadows – a sinister underground rave pulses with life. As the bass reverberates through crumbling tombstones and mausoleums glow with neon light, the dead rise with one purpose: to party… forever. The music never stops. The dead never rest. And if you’re not careful, you’ll be dancing with the damned for eternity.
- The Collector's Curse is a lavish estate house. "A mysterious host known as The Collector lures guests with rare relics and ancient artifacts. But this estate sale hides a sinister secret—one that pulls you deep into a twisted underworld of cursed creations and monstrous mutations."
Four New Scare Zones
A "Scare Zone" is a general, open-air walkway – where you expect some themed performers to pop up here and there. The event (more or less) takes place around the big lagoon on the south side of the park. The pathways connecting the themed lounges, haunted houses, coasters and Nautilus Theater are all dotted with themed scare zones – so as you move around, you're totally immersed in the Halloween vibe (this is where the "No Boo" Necklaces are really useful).
- Ashes of the Forgotten – Charred wreckage and twisted metal mark the remains of a long-abandoned scrapyard. Here, the restless spirits known as the Nightmare Citizens prowl among the debris, whispering from the shadows and dragging intruders into the soot-stained dark.
- Woodrot Hallow – A fog-laced swamp where the trees weep sap like blood and the ground oozes with rot. A monstrous guardian, ancient and vengeful, stalks the wetlands, protecting its territory from unlucky hikers who stray too far from the path.
- Echoes of the Glass – A warped mirror maze within an abandoned funhouse traps guests in a kaleidoscope of madness. Every reflection hides something sinister, and the tormented souls inside are desperate for new faces to join their fractured reality.
- Trailer Park Tragedy – A derelict Trailer Park community hides more than just rusted vehicles and flickering porch lights—it hides rage. And these territorial tenants will do whatever it takes to protect what is theirs… even if it means you never leave.

Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld, Orlando returns for a 5th year of fear!
Monster Stomp
Monster Stomp is a Victorian-era musical show that takes place in the Nautilus Theater. "Jack the Ripper takes the stage in a way you’ve never seen before in this modern rock and rhythm spectacular. Hold onto your seat as electrifying percussion, dancing, and singing combine for a show that’s as darkly entertaining as it is exhilarating."
Two New Themed Bars
The New Butcher’s Block Tavern and Scorchline join popular returning areas – Tormented, Space Gate 3, and CarnEvil Curiosities. Each of the bar/lounge locations have unique cocktails and food themed to that area along with small performance components that happen on a pretty regular basis – sword swallowing, glass walking, magicians, etc.
As I mentioned at the top, the HOS Lounge Crawl (walking around to all of the bar/lounge areas) and sampling food at the food huts is what we here at Mealtrip enjoy doing at the event. I'm hoping at some point we'll get a map and listing of all the new and returning items this year.
So far this year, there's been mention of cocktails like a “Poison Apple,” “Funhouse Massacre,” and “Liquid Asphalt” – with food items like Zombie Tacos, Dracula Inside-Out Sliders, Nightmare Nachos, and Monster Munch Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
Sampler Lanyards
Just like with some of SeaWorld's other food-centered festivals, there are two Sampler Lanyard levels available... they're both a little more "cocktail forward" than usual though. There's a 4-sample lanyard that includes 3 cocktails and 1 food hut item for $45 (plus tax) and a 4-sample lanyard that includes 5 cocktails and 2 food hut items for $75 (plus tax).
The Sampler Lanyard system allows guests to pre-purchase beverage and food entitlements redeamable at the bars and food huts using a punch-card type system rather than making a credit card transaction at each station. The good news is – it does actually save money over buying everything one item at a time – and the scan and punch system makes getting food and beverage samples much easier.
Tickets and Link
There's many ways to get discounted ticket to the popular Howl-O-Scream event at SeaWorld – like buying early, purchasing four tickets at once, and even an "unlimited admission ticket" – which would allow you to go to any and all of the event nights.
Rather than try and outline all of that – here's a direct link to SeaWorld's official event page...
We're going to try and get a full beverage and food menu along with a locations map for the Howl-O-Scream this year – I'll post one of our "click to highlight" menu pages once that's available.
Our main
festival page for SeaWorld Orlando's Howl-O-Scream will have links to any and all of the updated information for this year's event Cli
