The recent change to Tex-Mex at SeaWorld Orlando's Seafire Grill seems to be agreeing with guests because the location is noticeably busier than it had been in the past. Although Tex-Mex isn't really my thing, I've found all the entries so far to be quite good and surprisingly full of flavor.

On a recent visit I tried the "Steak" version of their Fajita Sandwich (which can be made with chicken or beef), and for the price, it was piled high with decent quality grilled fajita steak. The spice notes were spot-on for a "street food" type of sandwich, and the grilled onions (which were actually placed on the sandwich first, so... they're under the pile of meat) added, texture, flavor and some juiciness to the entree.

It's said to be served on a Torpedo Roll, and while I have no idea what the culinary significance of that is… it did look like a torpedo, so thumbs up there! Paired with a pile of hot fresh thick-cut fries, and there's really not much to complain about here. A great sandwich that I would totally recommend to anyone looking to get away from the Burgers and BBQ that dominate SeaWorld's menu lineup these days.

As a street-food type of sandwich, that's prepared as you order it, this one gets high marks from me. The current price seems fair, as long as the meat stays lean.

Seafire Grill is still one of SeaWorld's least "themed" locations however, so you're not really going to find yourself immersed in any particular design style. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating that wraps around the building, but dedicated indoor seating is a bit limited.

Unless… the Off-Broadway Dinner Theater Stage-Room is open (because I frankly, don't know what else to call it)… then there's plenty of dark, (possibly quiet), air-conditioned seating. Actually, the room is quite nice and a bit out of the way. No, there's not going to be anything of interest happening on the stage, but it's still a pretty cool room. (If you're curious, this "stage room" is where Santa's Fireside Feast is usually located, along with a few other special events.)

If you're in the mood for Tex-Mex, any of The Seafire Grill's hot items (the Fajitas, the Fajita Sandwich, or the Tex-Mex Rice Bowl) would be a good choice!
