The BBQ at SeaWorld's Terrace BBQ could be described as slightly Caribbean, but only when compared to the slightly smokey America BBQ from Voyagers, the park's other BBQ restaurant. Here, the BBQ isn't really in the meats themselves, but in the rubs and sauces on the meat. So for those die-hard BBQ fans out there, the chicken and ribs that I've sampled here, are more like good, solid, roasted meat… with a bit of flavor. It's what the park feels will appeal to the most guests, I suppose.
The Terrace BBQ building itself is quite interesting from an architectural standpoint, and is often not as crowded as other locations. Historically, this used to be the Anheuser-Busch Hospitality House (read, free beer samples) for SeaWorld, back in the day when Busch owned the parks. While some of the beer making vats and tubing are still around, they're mostly used for decoration. You can however, still find a few beers on tap at the location. Sadly, they're not free anymore.
Terrace BBQ isn't always busy like some of the other restaurants in the parks, so if you're just looking to grab a beer and sit inside for a while, Terrace BBQ is the place to be. If you're looking for authentic BBQ… well, Terrace BBQ is a great place to grab a beer. Did I mention that already?
A really cool side-note, be sure to check out the bathrooms at Terrace BBQ. Etched into the top of the water faucets, you'll still find the old Anheuser-Busch logo!
