The newly designed space at Scat Cat's Cafe has some modern French New Orleans touches which include exposed iron beams and brick along side lighter furnishings and wall decor.

This was the second portion of House-made Corn Bread... now that's more like it.

The plate-o-meat at Scat Cat Cafe featured Slow-cooked Pot Roast on one side and Vegetable Jambalaya on the other, topped with Grilled Andouille Sausage and Cajun-roasted Chicken.
The side items came in these cute medium-sized bowls. Pictured here are the Mashed Potatoes.
The Maque Choux was more like cut corn with a few other vegetables tossed in. A proper Maque Choux usually contains a bit more dairy and/or chicken stock.
The Collard Greens at Scat Cat Cafe are quite good, and one of the more authentic side dishes.
I believe the Mac & Cheese is part of the menu just because it looks so good next to the purple napkins.
Here's another look at the Scat Cat Cafe's main hot items. This time the Cajun-roasted Chicken is a bit more in view. And yes, there were bits of asparagus in the Vegetable Jambalaya (you can see one peeking out from under the chicken).
Because the meal was presented family-style, you could get more platters of whatever you wanted. Here is a second helping of Slow-cooked Pot Roast and the Cajun-roasted Chicken.
There's no better way to close out a great meal than with a giant bowl of Deep South Bread Pudding with Banana-Caramel Sauce with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
The check-in desk for Scat Cat's Cafe is located to the left of the Scat Cat Club Lounge.
The table setting at Scat Cat's Cafe included napkins wrapped in Mardi Gras themed beads and bells. Yes, you could keep the small wrist-band sized beads after your meal was over! How cool is that?
At one end of the dining area, there is a self playing piano which provides the Scat Cat's Cafe with background music during dinner.
This space at the Scat Cat's Cafe could be used for larger parties.

The Scat Cat's Cafe main dining area takes on a different look after the sun goes down. This main area really shows the contrast in design used to achieve a modern French/New Orleans feel.
The main dining area at the modestly sized Scat Cat's Cafe is "L" shaped. The faux patio to the right of this shot looks great at night.
The first "compartment" of the restaurant doesn't feel finished, or as warm as the interior.

Just outside the main entrance to the Scat Cat Cafe is the Scat Cat Club Lounge area. Pictured here, Jason Thomas and Billy Varnes take the stage.
The live music from the very nearby Scat Cat Club can be heard in the front-most dining area of the Scat Cat Cafe. If you are seated further in the restaurant, a player piano provides the music.
If you happen to visit the Scat Cat Cafe over the holidays (which is a pretty good bet, because the location was only open during the holidays), be sure to check out the holiday trees. They all have colorful mask ornaments reminiscent of Mardi Gras.
Over the holiday's these amazing masks act as tree ornaments in the lobby area for all the Port Orleans (French Quarter) dining locations.
