As evening falls on Coronado Springs and Cafe Rix kicks into high gear, the nearby Las Ventanas Restaurant really shows off it's warm burnt orange and red hues with darker wood and stone, to create a cozy, upscale and yet casual atmosphere, that's a bit quieter than the night club a few doors down.

While most of the soup and salad offerings for lunch remain on the dinner menu, only a few of the sandwiches remain, leaving room for some great plated selections, that are mostly American fare, with Central and South American twists. From the Seared Pork Loin Medallions with creamy grits and Andouille sausage, served with broccolini and caramelized tomato jam to a great Slow Roasted Prime Rib, the somewhat small menu, is big on flavor.

Don't forget to leave room for dessert! Las Ventanas has a house-made Key Lime Pie and a unique Chambord Mascarpone served with macerated berries and hints of Chambord, Pistachios and Vanilla Wafers.
