Resorts
The Easter Egg display at the Contemporary Resort is not large compared to the Grand Floridian Display, but it is nicely organized.
There's no confectionery kiosk around selling Easter themed snacks. As far as we know, only the Grand Floridian has a kiosk – but that's okay with us! We really like this low-key approach.
The Easter Egg display at the Contemporary Resort fills in the space that it's been given very well.
Sometimes there's a poster or information board somewhere near the Easter Egg displays – sometimes there's not. It says that bakery cast members used over 200 pounds of dark, white, and milk chooclate – along with rolled fondant, modeling chocolate, cocoa butter, gum paste, and sugar to make the various decorated eggs.
This Minnie Mouse egg features a bunny hopping into the top, head-first! (2024)
A couple of the 10 hidden Mickey's are near the Minnie egg. The tiny, baby, duck has one, and the egg on the left also features a red hidden Mickey.
This pastel blue egg with tiny little white flowers and that bunny on top is quintessential Easter Egg magic!
Hey bunny!!! We had to get a close-up of that Easter bunny egg topper.
This Nightmare Before Easter Egg could also be a Nightmare Before Christmas Easter Egg!
This smaller Honey Pot & Bees egg features gold leaf bees busily working to patch up that missing section of the bee hive (egg).
It's Vanellope and her Sugar Rush race car from Wreck it Ralph!
Vanellope von Schweetz' car looks good enough to eat!
Ahhh... this classic Mr PotatoHead looks as smooth as the plastic toy itself. It can't be easy getting rolled fondant this smooth. We also really like the MR.P. blocks that he's leaning on. I can't be sure – but I think that's another hidden Mickey on the birdhouse!
Even Wall•e is getting in on some of the Easter Egg action.
Wall•e's candy eyes are so expressive.
Hal is Wall•e's pet cockroach and it looks like this egg shaped version of EVE has found evidence of life!
It's great seeing Playhouse Disney represented in egg form. I'm not sure if that main egg counts as a hidden Mickey though... it's too big to be hidden!
The little blue bunny's yellow house right next to Mickey's main residence is too cute!
One of the things I really like about the 2024 collection of Easter Eggs at the Contemporary Resort – is that even when a newer story is referenced, like this "Up" themed egg – it still matches that classic rounded Disney style.
It's a 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea egg! I know, getting people in and out of the ride system quickly was becoming an issue – but I still miss seeing all that water and the Victorian-esque submarine tops gliding by.
The scene inside the 20,000 Leagues Egg is just as impressive as the octopus! There also happens to be a golden hidden Mickey on the wood grained exterior of the Easter egg.
We found this egg in the BVG Shop on the fourth floor of the Contemporary Resort.
