This version of the Trial's End Restaurant sign has been retired – but I think it looks better than the "new" one, so I'm leaving it right here., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

This is the new Trail's End Restaurant sign. It's located outside the main entrance to the location. While the design does match the nearby Crockett's Tavern sign – I still like the old version better. This newer version does have a QR code on it for Mobile Ordering though – I guess that's important., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

The Somkehouse Pizza at Trail's End is no different in quality or size – than any of the other slices of pizza that you can get at any "Counter Service - Common Menu" location on Disney property., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

I try not to make editorial comments in the photo caption area, so you'll have to read the review on this one. If you like standard issue Disney pizza, you'll probably like this pizza. If you don't like standard issue Disney pizza, the "Smokehouse Pizza" isn't going to change your mind., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

On closer inspecition – the Smokehosue Pizza does have a lot of "meat crumbles"., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

This is the "Meatloaf" entrée on the Trail's End Restaurant menu. It can also be made "to-go" so you can take it back to your cabin, camper, or tent. It's served with Yukon mashed potatoes, green beans, and cornbread., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

This Meatloaf entrée is something you don't find – on many (if any) other counter service menus at Disney right now. That is generally an indication that it's going to be really good., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

The Meatloaf entrée at Trail's End is actually a pretty decent portion size, and is one of the better "deals" – in terms of both quality and volume – that we've found on Disney property recently (circa summer 2025)., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

This Meatloaf at Trail's End had just the right weight and texture – not too fluffy and just dense enough to give you a really solid bite. The smoky sauce on top is a little more ketchup-like than a bbq sauce – but to me, that strikes just the right balance between the two. If it were a darker bbq sauce, you wouldn't be able to taste the "meat"., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

The Yukon mashed potatoes were smashed "peels on" and were both dense and creamy, served hot, and had a nice vanilla-esque hint along with some additional light brown savory gravy served on top. The green beans were sautéd with garlic, and had a crisp texture., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Here's a look at the "food ordering", beverage station and "grab and go" areas at the Trail's End Restaurant. The "payment register island" on the left side – is where you would place your order for food, if you were sitting down to eat at Trail's End, and/or if you were just grabbing a drink, pastry or ice cream from the grab-and-go area., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Oh my goodness – this is why I don't "Mobile Order". Disney's cast members are the best – but these poor folks look bored. I think I'll go order one thing at a time – just to give everyone something to do., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

The Grab-and-Go area at Trail's End looks bigger in this photo, than it is in real-life – but that's okay – it's perfect for the foot-traffic at Trail's End. On the far left is a pastry and baked goods counter, in the center there's a hand-dipped ice cream station, and on the right are the refrigeration units that contain bottled beverages and some packaged snacks., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Upon closer inspection, all the standard beverage station items are here – a soda and ice machine, some hot water, a couple of coffee and tea dispensers, condiments (including everything from coffee creamer to ketchup and even salad dressings, dipping sauces, and little jelly packets), a microwave, and some napkins and plastic utensils., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

This is the Mobile Order Pick-Up area. It's located to the right of the beverage station. Food orders are placed on the counter in the center of the photo. There's a not so hidden Mickey hanging on a wall between the beverage station and the Mobile Order pickup counter. There's also a broom and a telecommunication plug – but those probably aren't for guests., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

The Trail's End counter service location makes use of the familiar "table-top pager" system. Once you place your "dine-in" order, they will give you one of these pagers, and you can sit wherever you would like in the dining area. Once your food order is ready, a cast member will bring it out to you., Trail's End Restaurant Lunch and Dinner, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

This photo was taken from the main dining area looking north-northwest. The Mobile Order pickup counter is on the far left. The "sunken lounge" area on the right is "Crockett's Tavern". If you're walking in from the bus area or the greater campground – Trail's End is located in a very large building at the end of the walkway. As we get a little closer to the building, the Trail's End sign comes into view. Technically, the door on the extreme left of this photo is the "front" door for Trail's End. Even though this exterior window is for Crockett's Tavern and not Trail's End — if you're standing here — you've found the right building. The two locations are under the same roof.  Since neither location accepts reservations – just walk in any door you can find.
