Disney Jollywood Nights is a special holiday event at the Hollywood Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida. It is a five hour, "after normal operating hours" event that requires a separate ticket purchase and is not included as part of Hollywood Studios normal operating hours or general ticket.
Event Times
Disney Jollywood Nights will take place from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM on select nights. Guests that have purchased a Disney Jollywood Nights ticket will be able to enter Hollywood Studios as early as 6:00 PM on the valid date of their ticket. This gives Jollywood Nights guests an extra 90 minutes to enjoy “normal” Hollywood Studios attractions before the event begins. The date-specific Jollywood Nights event ticket does not require an additional day theme park ticket or theme park reservation.
Party Highlights
- Disney Holidays in Hollywood
Is a "song and dance" holiday show that takes place several times during Jollywood Nights at the Theater of the Stars (big covered, sit-down theater near the Tower of Terror). The show is hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy and features appearances from Tiana, Belle, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse — along with a cast of singers, dancers and jazz musicians. - What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along
Over in the Hyperion Theater (big indoor theater with nice seats), there’s a holiday show called "What’s This?” that takes place several times during Jollywood Nights. The “sing-along” features mostly musical clips from the movie being shown on a big screen with the words captioned so guests can “sing along”. There’s a couple of characters (such as jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie) that make appearances. - Glisten!
Glisten! is an outdoor ice skating show that takes place several times a night on Jollywood Nights event dates only. The ice is located in a courtyard at the end of Hollywood Boulevard (near "Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway”). The show features international champion skaters performing routines set to Disney music like "Be Our Guest" and "When You Wish Upon A Star”. - Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Fireworks
There's a familiar holiday themed fireworks, lasers, lights, and projection show called Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! — that only takes place only on Jollywood Night event dates, one showing per night (usually around 10:00pm). The best place to see the fireworks is probably on the main pathway leading to the central courtyard.
- Holiday Fiesta en la Calle
Is a holiday themed zone set up in the Animation Courtyard (a little outdoor area past the "Voyage of the Little Mermaid” and the "Disney Junior Play and Dance” buildings), that features live holiday music for most of the night and appearances from José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros. - Dance Parties
There’s one over at Echo Lake that features Phineas, Ferb and Max Goof as Powerline. Baloo and King Louie from Talespin occasionally show up as well. There’s another Dance Party over in Pixar Plaza! that features Edna Mode and other Pixar characters.
- Special Characters
There’s random (not often seen) character encounters and photo opportunities all over the place — everything from The Muppet Christmas Carol (over in the Stage 1 shop) to the Mandalorian (in the Galaxy’s Edge area). Characters like Mickey and Minnie, Santa Stitch and Santa Duffy, Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale, Powerline Max, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto, etc. are all here and there — there’s around 20 character experiences all over the park. Rare sightings like Baloo and King Louie, Bo Peep and Lotso and Joy from "Inside Out" are also on the schedule. - Disney PhotoPass Service
Why are the characters mentioned above such a big deal? Well... digital photos and videos from the event (as taken by Disney's PhotoPass Service cast members) are included FREE with your ticket. Photos can be downloaded from your Disney account as often as desired, up to 45 days after initial capture.
- Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club
The "Tip Top Club” is located in the (outdoor) courtyard of the "Hollywood Tower Hotel” and features a live band that plays sets throughout the night. There’s also special themed food and beverage items to purchase. (Food and beverages are not included with your event ticket.) - Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby
You can also make separate reservations to the Hollywood Brown Derby. The “normal” menu is not available, but there’s an event-exclusive menu of light bites, along with a pianist that plays smooth holiday tunes throughout the night. All of the "special menu" food and beverage items are available to purchase — i.e. food and beverages are not included with your event ticket. Reservations for this one are strongly recommended. - Favorite Attractions
Occasionally, there’s lower wait times for popular rides during the Jollywood Night events. Things like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Slinky Dog Dash, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (standby line), The Tower of Terror are all said to be open and operating during the event. - Event Merchandise
There’s “Ollie" Gingerbread Man holiday themed stuff to buy. "There once was a cookie named Ollie who made his way west on a trolley. With oven-baked gleam, he followed his dream ... and made all of Tinseltown jolly!” — I have no idea what any of that means.
- FREE Wondermade Sweet Treat
As you’re leaving Disney Jollywood Nights, there should be cast members handing out a goodbye gift from Wondermade (a gourmet marshmallow shop in Disney Springs). Each guest will receive one Wondermade goodbye gift.
