As you make your way from the American Pavilion to the Italy Pavilion, the (relatively) new Gelateria Toscana shop will be on your right. While it is part of the main complex of buildings in the Italy area, the popular Epcot gelato shop appears to have a slightly modern countryside feel — as opposed to the central courtyard area, which features some old world "classic" Italian details.
If you like gelato and sorbets (or have never tried either — particularly gelato) this is a great place to find out what all the fuss is about. Gelato contains less fat than a typical ice cream (by about half) but has a more dense mouth feel because there's not as much air whipped into the cream.
Gelateria Toscana has various flavors available ranging from basic vanilla and chocolate to the more exotic pistachio and even cherry... which are available in a waffle cone or dish. If you want to get a little more fancy, there's a couple of floats and gelato creations — including an "Affogato" Espresso Gelato, which combines fresh Italian espresso poured over vanilla gelato, and even include a little amaretto cookie or two.
Soon after this new Gelateria Toscana shop opened, the similar (but smaller) "Gelati Italian Gelato" kiosk on the left side of the pavilion closed.
