The Scat Cat’s Club is Port Orleans / French Quarter’s full Bar and Lounge location and is located just off the resort’s main lobby. The main lounge and bar area has great looking crown molding that take cues from French architecture, while the bottom half of the space seems to be a little more functional than authentic.

The indoor “patio” space just outside the lounge is quite cool in it’s own right, as it offers the resort’s lobby as a backdrop. On most nights, a live musician or two are on hand playing... well... music, ( as musicians have a tendency to do ).

Much like the River Roost at Riverside, there are a few New Orleans inspired appetizers on the menu, along with a few specialty cocktails that are unique to Port Orleans (along with a full bar of course).

Sassagoula Floatworks is only a few steps away though, so it’s easy to go get some fresh hot Beignets that will go with just about anything at Scat Cat’s. Unfortunately, the lounge doesn’t open until 4:00pm, which is about the same time that Sassagoula changes to their dinner menu, which doesn’t include their Po’ Boys. Scat Cat’s on-tap Abita Beer collection would work so well with those Po’ Boys.
