American - Barbecue
$37-65 per person*
Mickey's Backyard BBQ is basically an all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ "Hoedown" that takes place in a covered, open-air pavilion located at the Fort Wilderness campground. There are character meet-and-autograph opportunities (usually Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Chip 'n Dale), some cowboy rope tricks here and there, and a live country-western band.
The BBQ picnic (of sorts) includes country favorites including barbecue ribs, smoked chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs with all the trimmings, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese and more.
There are various juices and soda for children and complimentary (basically bottomless) wine and beer for guest 21 and older (yes, they check IDs).
This is a popular dining experience that is only held a few nights per week (varies seasonally) and so advanced booking is highly recommended and is available 180 days in advance.
(*) Price ranges listed are the average cost for one main entree and one soft beverage item, unless otherwise stated. There are many combinations of appetizers, deserts and drinks that will add to your final total. Many parks also use seasonal pricing systems which result in food and beverage costs increasing at peak times. Please check with the location that you are interested in for specific pricing information.
