As night falls onto Liberty Square, the Liberty Tree Tavern takes on a more historic air with the aroma of a full-on family style feast.
While the warm, dark wooden decor of this colonial-era inn doesn’t change from lunch, the dining options for dinner are served family-style (all you care to eat, but delivered to your table in large dishes and platters, which you then dish out onto your own smaller plates).
The "Patriots Platter" is all you care to enjoy, and piled high with carved turkey, roast beef and pork tenderloin. Traditional sides can include mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb-bread stuffing and macaroni and cheese. Don’t forget to leave room for the Jonny Appleseed's Cake, a white cake filled with apples and dried cranberries, topped with ice cream.
