Dinner time in the elaborately themed Be Our Guest Restaurant takes one a more formal tone as a full-service sit-down meal (dress code not enforced). The main dinning room features floor to ceiling windows overlooking a snow-laced French valley mural, while the more Gothic and darker West Wing beckons a watchful eye as the beast’s painting and enchanted rose change as you dine.

Appetizers such a charcuterie plate, mussels steamed in white wine, and French onion soup are great ways to start your meal. Entrees such as thyme-scented pork rack chops, shrimp and scallops in a puff pastry, and a rotisserie rock hen are just a few of the French inspired dishes. Finales include various cream puffs and cupcakes that are brought to your table for viewing, before making your selection.

The West wing was darker than I like it. The picture of the prince that changed for a few seconds was too fast (the picture effects in the Haunted Mansion are better.)

I had the Chicken Breast Provencal entry which was tasteless except for the olives. The potato fingerlings were just warm. The bread and butter was the hit, but they are the same at all the restaurants in the park. The desserts were cupcakes? More of a variety would have been a plus. Overall I was disappointed in the food. I did taste the macaroni and cheese from my son's Thyme Scented Pork entree . It looked pretty but lacked taste.
